EMK acquired 75% of the business from Williams F1 which has a deep and renowned heritage in racing and engineering excellence, both in the UK and internationally. In its core areas of high-performance electrification and light-weighting it is a clear technology and market leader with a very strong reputation.

In March 2022 EMK sold the business to Fortescue Future Industries who will utilise, and further enable growth in WAE’s core offering of electrification and light-weighting and continue WAE’s major contribution to combatting climate change.
