Michael is a Partner, based in the Munich office.

He has 20 years of private equity experience, sourcing, executing and managing investments across a range of sectors and geographies. Prior to EMK Michael worked at Hg Capital where he was closely involved with building Hg’s inaugural large cap Saturn fund, which focuses on tech and software investments globally.

Prior to Hg, Michael worked at Blackstone and Warburg Pincus. Michael started his carreer at Merrill Lynch in both London and New York. A German national, Michael  holds an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and Paris.

Michael’s interests include skiing, sailing, tennis, watching football and art.
